Snapshot

Find a type or background by its name or ID. Each row lists the current masks and native generator examples for that pair.

Additional jurisdictions will be added gradually.

How to read masks, symbols and examples

A = any uppercase Latin letter A–Z; 9 = any digit 0–9. A class such as [KR] means exactly K or R; [B-D] means B, C or D. Characters in single quotes are fixed literals, so 'A' is a fixed A.

{n} repeats the preceding token exactly n times; {m,n} allows m through n repetitions; ? makes it optional. Each alternative is listed separately. Spaces, hyphens and slashes in masks are meaningful. Pure letters/digits may also be entered compactly; the matcher restores that mask's separators. Lowercase ASCII letters are converted to uppercase and outer whitespace is trimmed.

free uses the stated alphabet and bounds. In alphabet definitions, A expands to A–Z and 9 to 0–9; all other characters are literal. Free input requires at least one letter or digit unless explicitly disabled. Restrictions shown below each pair apply to every listed mask. A maximum of one % is allowed by the compiler, subject to the pair's alphabet and ISA restrictions.

Texas native symbol payloads: @ = heart, # = Texas outline, & = star, % = wheelchair / International Symbol of Access (ISA). Their meaning applies only where the listed symbol profile allows them. The Texas outline is a native image glyph, not an emoji. In separator profiles, the Texas outline alias becomes -. ASCII - can therefore act as a layout separator; it is not universally a literal printed dash.

Symbol meanings depend on the selected jurisdiction and background. For California's configured symbol profile, # = hand, $ = heart and & = star. Other characters may also be native glyphs: use that row's generated examples and accepted aliases.

Examples are synthetic witnesses passed through the existing PHP validator and PNG generator. They illustrate a mask; they do not enumerate its entire range or prove every possible combination. Native output may normalize the entered combination or encode the selected background differently. Expand “Input and generator details” to inspect the actual values.

This independent catalogue documents technical INI selection rules from PlatesMania for review. It is not an official PlatesMania website, a legal plate standard or a complete audit of production data. Narrower INI rules can be intentional. Source versions and generation report ↗
